Today's the last day for ANZ and National Bank customers to sign up for a class action to claim back bank fees.
Lawyer Andrew Hooker will be filing papers against ANZ at the High Court at Auckland tomorrow.
He's being backed by Australian law firm Slater & Gordon and Litigation Lending Services.
Mr Hooker says half of the 30,000 bank customers who've signed up so far are ANZ and National Bank customers.
He's confident it will be successful.
"There's people putting millions of dollars into funding this case and they wouldn't be doing that if they didn't think they had a good case so absolutely. We're very confident based on the Australian experience that it would be successful.
"The sign-up rate since we had the press conference last week has been significant and there's been a lot of people signing up, a lot of people ringing me."
Mr Hooker expects there to be a flurry of sign-ups before the cut-off time of 11pm.
