A history of Mount Morris Station Charleville Queensland

Today has been a very "rough" day. There is no doubt, that "people will mislead, lie, manipulate and deceive you" throughout your entire life. We all know this, all have experienced this to one extent or another.
Today our family has experienced this again - another betrayal is how it feels.
Yet, the urge to continue on, not just for ourselves, but for all who have contacted us, telling their stories, recounting their own painful experiences as they go through what we are going through, keeps us going, as we do not wish to be one of the "false hope givers".
It is only as we grow older, have families of our own, build homes for our own family, or ourselves that we then experience those things above that have catastrophic consequences.
As a child, or young adult, these things usually, do not have the impact they do on you as a mature adult. These can cost individuals their life's work to date and much more - relationship breakdowns, emotional and physical breakdown of individuals health, friendships and of course, financial security.
Most people continue to work, running into a few obstacles that have a minimum impact, though distressing at the time, only reading or hearing on the nightly news of others horrendous experiences, injustices and wrong doings. Offering sympathy in the comfort of their vehicle on the radio, or in the safety of their own home.
There will always be "arm chair" experts on how to "handle" situations of hardship, "lip service" with no actual knowledge of intricacies or idea of the real repercussions of others quest for justice.
There will always be the "professionals" who will advise that yes, hundreds of thousands of dollars will "buy you justice"..but for many, it is too late.
They have already been subjected to the above, "people will mislead, lie, manipulate and deceive you" and cost individuals their life's work, and for no obvious reason, except possibly a "personal reason"? As nothing else makes sense that individuals are aware of.
So while you sit at your computer, reading this, applying it to your life, things that have happened to either yourself or someone you know of, or heard about in the news, the question remains what can individuals do to protect themselves?
The answer appears to be, very little. Until a "crack in the wall" is made, by someone, somewhere, the only alternative is to try to push on, talk about the "taboo" subjects, hoping that no repercussions will impact on freedom of speech, that someone, somewhere is listening to individuals "experience" and that they are outraged enough,to stand up and say, "Enough is enough" and then do something that will make a difference.
At the end of the day, Graziers, the Dad and Mum Farmers, people of the land are just that, after all, that is what we do and "All we know"
